ABOUT / EDITORIAL METHOD

Transparent eSIM comparisons built from the underlying data.

eSIM Giga is an independent editorial publication and comparison service. This page explains who publishes the site, which data we use, how rankings are calculated and where commercial relationships are kept separate from editorial decisions.

WHO PUBLISHES ESIM GIGA

An independent travel-connectivity data desk

eSIM Giga publishes comparisons, provider profiles and promotion records for travelers choosing mobile data abroad. We are not a mobile carrier and do not activate plans. The editorial contact is valentin@esimgiga.com. Corrections, provider updates and questions about the method can be sent to that address.

Our role

Explain and compare travel eSIM products using structured catalog data.

Our limits

Provider checkout terms and network conditions remain the final authority.

Our funding

Some outbound links are affiliated and are clearly marked as sponsored.

DATA COLLECTION

What enters the comparison model

The catalog stores provider, destination, total price, original price when available, data allowance, validity, network generation, hotspot support, regional coverage, activation rules and update timestamps. Country comparisons are generated from plans that match the requested destination. Missing or ambiguous fields are not silently converted into positive product claims.

Price and usable data

Total price and price per usable GB are kept separate from promotional percentages.

Validity and activation

Plan duration and known activation conditions are surfaced where the catalog provides them.

Coverage and networks

Country support, host operators, 4G/5G labels and regional scope inform suitability.

Product restrictions

Hotspot, top-up, KYC and fair-use signals are treated as decision criteria, not footnotes.

NORMALIZATION AND RANKING

How plans are compared fairly

Plans with different currencies, data sizes and durations cannot be compared from their headline price alone. eSIM Giga normalizes prices into euros, calculates price per GB where the allowance is finite and keeps unlimited or fair-use plans in a separate context. Editorial positions and value picks use catalog evidence; an affiliate commission does not increase a plan's score.

“Best” therefore means best for a stated use case, not a universal winner. A short trip, heavy-data user and multi-country itinerary can legitimately produce different recommendations. Readers can inspect the underlying plans in each destination comparison.

PROVIDER REVIEWS

How editorial provider profiles are published

A provider page combines live catalog statistics with editorial material only when sufficient provider-specific evidence exists. Pages without a substantive review remain accessible for users following catalog links but are excluded from search indexing until they meet the editorial threshold. We do not manufacture star ratings or present a generic catalog profile as a hands-on review.

PROMOTION VERIFICATION

Weekly review cadence without invented freshness

Promo records start from a manual review date and then advance on a seven-day cadence that is staggered by operator. Each provider therefore has its own full review date, not a shared site-wide stamp. Offers become “due” when the cadence window passes and “stale” after fourteen days without a fresh review. The directory always shows the complete day, month and year.

Eligibility may still depend on account history, destination, basket, plan type or provider rules. The payable checkout total is always the final confirmation that a code works for a particular customer.

CORRECTIONS AND UPDATES

How to report an error

Catalogs and commercial terms change. If a price, feature, provider statement or code appears inaccurate, email valentin@esimgiga.com with the page URL, observed value and supporting provider source. Corrections are evaluated against the catalog or provider record and reflected in the next relevant refresh.
